Naomi Tyrrell

Naomi Tyrrell is an interdisciplinary artist who has appeared on stages in Hong Kong, Yugoslavia and Japan plus various festivals throughout North America. Naomi has appeared on the CBC mime/mask drama The Garden and the Cage and several other Canadian children’s programs. Naomi’s work with students includes character development and peacemaking through mask and instrument building, mime, storytelling, singing, sign language and visual art. The simple masks are made from tape and paper (full and half) and puppets are created from ordinary soapboxes. Ideas for integrating curriculum are endless. Naomi took part in the Angels’ Malvern Youth for the Arts project last year that was short-listed for a Leo Creativity Award
