Cristina Delago

Cristina Delago was born in Selva Val Garden, Italy in 1959. A small town in the heart of the Dolomites, Italian Alps. Growing up there she was surrounded by beauty. Art was a daily inspiration and exposure from a family of woodcarver, sculptors and musicians. She finished high school in Milan and then spent one year in Oxford England , following up with going to University in Innsbruck, Austria and finding out more about her love
for art.

As a student she travelled to Poland and met her future husband with whom she moved to Toronto, Canada where she attended the Ontario College or Art & Design. She graduated with honours from the Art and Design Department. Shortly after she was given a teaching position within O.C.A.D in Florence. A year later when she returned to Toronto she worked as a gallery assistant, prop designer, art teacher and at the same time had her own studio and started her own business making and designing tiles and mosaics.

Presently she works with architects and designers consulting on every aspects of tiles and making custom tiles and mosaics . She is also involved with Arts for Children and Youth
creating mosaic murals with youth from under-serviced communities and schools.
